The spaceball.gif is only for people that don't want their images shared, actually. I don't think flickr itself has any huge deterents against hotlinking since many images include a  "Blog This" button. I just went into the source of the page and pulled the image out that way if it didn't work.

And Crap I totally remembered your name even though I'm not sure we exchanged real names when we met. . .lawl.

Yea I noticed that bit, but usually those are just the small thumbnails that are linkable in the blogs, and if you want to view any larger sizes, it redirects you back to flickr. The easiest way to get the images (I've found) is to right-click and go to View Page Info, then the image should be somewhere in the Media tab (usually the 25th entry down in the list).

@ Tate: my parents are both self-employed artists (art being their only form of income). I was raised traveling the show scene on the West Coast, eating fair food, and listening to street bands.

No, unfortunately not. I graduated in 2005 and went on to graduate school at Carnegie Mellon. I really miss Chapel Hill though! I loved my time there and it flew by much too quickly.

@ flyin, yeah my school is beautiful, it's motif is the spanish era, so when you arrive at the gates you'll be like "eh? did i travel through time >_>"  and get freaked by the huge trees...

My folks are both accountants I wasn't really encouraged to do art because for them success means deskjob that pays a lot >_<!
