Seeing as how IN is good friends with the Firefox, I've decided to post some little tweaks that I've come across on the web to help speed it up a bit.
Some of you may already know these, so just bear with me.
First access your config file, by heading to about:config in your address bar.
Search for the following in the search filter and change their values accordingly:
network.prefetch-next [false] (firefox fetches data that it thinks you will access)
browser.urlbar.hideGoButton [true] (not really a tweak, but that button is pretty useless)
browser.chrome.toolbar_tips [false] (again, annoying and in the way sometimes)
browser.cache.memory.capacity [more than 1GB ram: no need to tweak this, 512MB-1GB ram: 15000, anything less: 5000] (this limits the ram usage accordingly to the amount that you have available)
Right-click in the window and create a new boolean called config.trim_on_minimize and set the value to true. (limits the ram usage of Firefox when minimized)
If you have a broadband connection, you can enable pipelining to really speed up your browsing:
network.http.pipelining [true]
network.http.proxy.pipelining [true]
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests [25] (number of simultaneous requests)
Right-click in window and create a new integer called nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set it's value to 0.
Hope these are helpful! :P
