i have no specific theme yet in my mind but i'm thinking of something like these

Would the theme of the advert be sorta free-for-all, or be somewhat set along the lines of "fashion" or "educational" or "music," etc.?

hmmm if people are interested we could have a vote :O but having a theme would be good, it would have something to unify it

well maybe not have a theme but have some guideline we had to follow to make them be connected I dunno colors or something, my teacher made us have a block with a word whichever we wanted but we had to put a word connected with the artwork

well i'd like it to be something to go crazy on, so guidelines would be giving u restrictions, unlike when it's just one theme u have something to make it collective but gives u relative freedom in the design :'D

we should do like....fake music adverts or something, like fake album art-ish stuff based on our handles/nicks

That is an AWESOME idea crap! :D Definitely stirring up some creative juices in my brain - I'd totally be up for the music advert based off our usernames, or even to make it broader a fake music advert for you personally, what would you make your own ad/album cover look like x3

Tates would there be a deadline, or would this be sort of a rolling project with a less set deadline? I'm definitely finding things with deadlines harder and harder to handle, but on the other hand they do instill a sense of guilt and push me to crank something out...

Once the nitty-gritty details of deadline/theme/res sizes etc. are set feel free to start a new project thread tat0es, I know you said non-wall size but if you want to give people the options of making/posting wallpaper versions of their ad on IN (I think I'd probably do that, just because I always do) we can ask na to make a project gallery for this :D

it doesnt have to be music either, i kind of just like the idea of doing something off nicks. for example, could be as random as like a beverage.....though i dont know who would drink something with the word crap in it....

Kind of have an idea for a possible project if anyone is interested. The jist is, it would basically be a community wide project with whoever wants to participate and all working on one final product. Im unsure on the medium but a wallpaper could work, I dont think its a big factor in this.
The basic way I've thought of it is, is some sort of a quilt/montage type thing where one person starts it and will add a few elements to it, then pass it on to the next person on a determined list of participants until it reaches the hands of the last person. I guess in that sense, its basically a huge ass collab but only here its all unplanned so the final product is quite ambiguous.
It would essentially be very open and unrestrictive in terms of themes or what not, but I was thinking of keeping it to vector-like styles though this doesnt have to be the case. I mean...whoever starts it, people will natureally only add to it in a way they think is fitting so it should work hopefully.
I dont know if this is a stupid idea or not, but I thought it could be cool in that it takes relatively little work on an individual basis so would be ideal for those of us that have less free time then others, but still would like to take part in a project.
