This was one that I've been working on for a while after wanting to try something different. It's yet another screen capture (and very painful v_v) vector from FLCL episode 1. It can be found

This scene particularly stood out to me as I have always admired Rickenbacker's line of awesome basses. They're pretty much known worldwide as the staple of American music (along with Fender) from the 60's thru the 80's (which is probably why GAINAX decided that they would use it :P).

I moderately based the Haruka vector on the screenshot (you'll notice some differences, most notably, the absence of the strap and lock), and then vectored the background from some stock images that I collaged together. If I forgot to mention before, the vector took a long time. :P

After coloring, I brushed and lightly shaded the edges with the brush and smudge tool to get that messy/vintage look. Lots of work, but the important thing is... I'm still alive! ^_^
